Responsible for risk-based job management of appraisals ordered for the bank using the Interagency Appraisal and Evaluation Guidelines and the Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practices. Responsible for management of appraisal department job managers.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES
Risk-focused job management (bidding, engaging, monitoring and reviewing) of non-residential appraisals including conformance with USPAP and bank appraisal regulations for all real property types.
Adjusts review standards based on complexity of a transaction, type of real property and the market in which the property is located.
Identifies appraisal deficiencies and recommends resolutions.
Maintains a general knowledge of lending policies and an in-depth knowledge of appraisals, bank appraisal regulations, and USPAP
Collaborate with underwriters and loan officers regarding preliminary value concerns.
Reports to Chief Appraiser
Monitors job flow and assists department JMs where needed.
Texas State Certified General Appraiser License
Comprehensive knowledge of USPAP and Federal Regulations and Guidelines with respect to the appraisal of real estate.
Prefer prior experience engaging, reviewing or preparing real property valuations. Prefer prior experience in a financial institution
Microsoft Word and Excel skills
Strong analytical skills and ability to make objective decisions based on logic and data in a restricted time frame.
Strong personnel management skills
