As a complex and growing global enterprise, we are looking to hire a President, Valuations to grow our valuation division which, together with our international valuation practices, combine to form the world’s largest appraiser of asset-based collateral. This is a highly visible role with high expectations for immediate and sustained positive impact to the firm with the goal of building an enduring organization.
In this role, you will oversee all facets of sales and operations for largest division, by headcount, within Gordon Brothers. Your direct reports will include the national sales manager and all domestic project group leaders of Machinery & Equipment, Industrial Inventory, Retail Inventory, Consumer Products, and Business Valuations. You will take a leadership role coordinating with international country/region heads to build a seamless global valuations practice.
You will join the firm as one of its most senior leaders, becoming an integral part of strategically shaping the future of the entire enterprise. The position is based in our Boston office in the Back Bay and reports to the CEO. Key responsibilities include the following: Grow our market share by being the external face of the valuation division to lenders, sponsors, and borrowers while overseeing the largest business development sales force in the industry.
Increase division profitability through operational and human capital productivity enhancements as well as by growing the mix of higher margin appraisals.
Work closely with the other division leaders to increase the number of principal investment activities across all asset classes resulting from referrals from existing appraisal clients.
Collaborate with the CEO, International and country heads to integrate our current disparate geographic based appraisal practices into a common integrated platform while leveraging cross geographic synergies for global clients.
Identify new revenue generating opportunities, products and service extensions, including leveraging the company’s extensive propriety database of asset values through a potential revenue subscription model marketed to existing and new clients
As a key member of senior leadership executive team, collaborate and help the formulation and execution of a 5 year strategic business plan as the firm moves from a highly decentralized entrepreneurial culture to a scalable and enduring organization.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field, an MBA with twenty or more years of relevant experience in Financial Services, and five or more years in a senior leadership role.
