This is a group announcement that includes two positions in Portland, OR.
For the GS-12 level: Applicants must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-11 grade level. Examples of specialized experience include one or more of the following: Independently prepared real estate appraisals while licensed as a State-Certified General Appraiser. Property types may have included vacant land, residential improved property, commercial improved property, mineral interests, timberland properties, highly-developed recreation/resort properties, properties to be acquired by condemnation and/or partial interests such as conservation easements or rights of way. Served as the real property valuation expert and represents the unit in that capacity in coordination with other agencies, individuals, and non-government organizations within the delegated area of responsibility. Additionally, may have prepared feasibility studies, market analyses, and/or valuation consultations.
For the GS-13 level: Applicants must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-12 grade level. Examples of specialized experience include one or more of the following: While both licensed as a State-Certified General Appraiser and designated or accredited by a nationally recognized appraisal organization, independently performed real estate appraisal and real estate appraisal review assignments. May have served as a technical expert to support litigation proceedings. As part of appraisal review process, may have interacted with appraiser whose work was under review to obtain necessary corrections. Also as part of appraisal review process, may have independently resolved value differences between two or more appraisals under review.
