The Staff Appraiser will actively engage in the reviewing of submitted form and narrative appraisal reports submitted from Bank approved appraisal firms and on occasion perform appraisals for various internal uses. The review process will include desk reviews of appraisal reports and site inspections of subject property. The review process will comply with Flushing Bank policies and standards established by the Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP) and compliance with Federal and State Regulations including FIRREA.
Assist Appraisal Manager by ensuring all submitted appraisal reports are in compliance with all regulatory appraisal requirements.1.Review Appraisal Reports as required by Bank’s Appraisal Guidelines2.Prepare Appraisal Review Reports as required by Bank’s Appraisal Guidelines3.Perform Quality Control Reviews on all commercial, multifamily, residential and mixed-use property mortgage loans4.Report to Appraisal Manager any significant deficiencies or consistent patterns of deficiencies in the appraisal process or contained in specific appraisal reports and follow up on any and all recommended corrective actions.5.Ensure timeliness of responses by all appraisal firms6.Review and/or perform updated appraisals for delinquent loans, loans in foreclosure and or any loan secured by real estate that has been identified by management as possessing a weakness7.Provide assistance in all special assignments and projects as they relate to the valuation of real estate related transactions including but not limited to new loans, existing loans, loan participation sale/purchases, whole loan sales and securitizations as well as the evaluation of real estate owned by the Bank and or to be leased by the Bank•New York State Certified General Real Estate License, will consider a Certified Residential Appraiser with completed General Courses. •Minimum 5 years commercial real estate valuation experience in residential, multi-family and commercial properties. •Appraisal review experience a plus
