The Senior Director is responsible for pursuing the achievement of strategic goals and deliverables for a large set of clients across multiple geographies. Geographical Area may include either/or (LMA - Local Market Area, National, Regional and Global) for all Hotels Advisory activity and functions. The Senior Director is responsible for cooperation with the Hotel Advisory Division MD in the development of the Hotels Advisory program for the division. They are to cooperate closely with the VAS SMD's and MD's in the Division in which they are located as will as with the Hotels Advisory MD's in their Divisions. The Senior Director possesses the highest degree of competency and subject matter expertise required for preparing from start to finish the most complex Advisory assignments with minimal direction from MD other than final high level review by MD. Reviews work product of peers and other consultants and analysts in their division. Develops and maintains new client relationships in order to sell a meaningful amount of work for their division. Senior Director participates in Division management and supports Advisory MD in development and execution of Division business plan
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Duties Specific to Senior Director: Develops proposal responses and deliverables for client pursuits. May be responsible for small to medium sized project engagements from pursuit through execution. Assist MD and NPL on pursuing and developing proposals for large assignments.
General Administrative Responsibilities. Assist the Hotels Advisory Division MD by making recommendations for the division in pursuing strategic initiatives, and publicizing of CBRE Hotels Advisory services internally and externally.
Coordinates with the line of business platform; i.e., subject area, geographic resources and experts able to support the needs of line of business clients. Maintains awareness of individuals and available resources within CBRE, both internal and external to CBRE Hotels platform, required to optimize client outcomes.
Responsible for executing or supervising the preparation of deliverables for the most complex Advisory assignments in the division, including core services such as Market and Feasibility Studies, Acquisition Due Diligence, Operational Studies, among other offerings. The Senior Director may supervise an individual or a small team of professionals, and makes recommendations to the MD on assigning work to individuals or forming teams for execution, as needed.
Business Development: Develops client and industry contacts, actively promotes Advisory services both internally and externally. Available for speaking engagements, attends industry conferences and events,and actively pursues opportunities for impactful client interactions within the scope and limitations of the Marketing Plan and allocated budget for the division.
Quality Control. Assist Managing Directors in their Division in improving quality of Advisory in accordance with special instructions and practices as follows: (1) Clear all Advisory proposals for adherence to policies and avoidance of conflicts. (2) Review procedures as to assignments in progress. (3) Review or arrange for the review of all deliverables prior to release.
Information and Research. (1) Suggest research projects. (2) Recommend data to be included in information source file. (3) Actively pursues research topics for publication. (4) Coordinates with MD and CBRE Research to publish relevant content via email blasts, trade publications, social media, etc.
Client Relations and Practice Development. (1) Cooperate with Managing Director to see that follow-up plans are established to assist in obtaining continuing Advisory assignments. (2) Assist in the promotion and publicizing of Advisory services. (3) Participate in such outside activities as are deemed beneficial in advancing the Advisory, VAS and CBRE Hotels services of CBRE. (4) Proposes and reviews content of client advice and makes recommendations to MD on enhancing deliverables to improve client outcomes (5) Assist team members in the division in their professional development, mastery of formats, methodology and client service initiatives required for strengthening client relationships and advancing the Division practice.
Recognized as a leader within the Division hotel team. Responsible for direct client communication during and after assignments to ensure optimal client outcomes. Assists consultants in client communications, when needed. Coordinates with Hotel Division MD in day to day operations and implementation of strategic goals
Provides formal supervision to individual employees within single functional or operational area. Approves subordinate's recommendations for staff recruitment, selection, promotion, advancement, corrective action and termination. Effectively recommends same for direct reports to next level management for review and approval. Plans and monitors appropriate staffing levels and utilization of labor, including overtime. Prepares and delivers performance appraisal for staff. Mentors and coaches team members to further develop competencies. Leads by example and models behaviors that are consistent with the company's values.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's Degree required, Master's preferred, in Hotel Administration, Marketing.
10+ Years of experience, senior-level role in production, business development, and mentoring.
CERTIFICATES and/or LICENSES
HSMA / CHM / Member of significant hotel associations such as AH&LA, CHA, or ISHC.
Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret the most complex business documents.
Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive issues.
Ability to write reports, manuals, speeches and articles using distinctive style. Ability to make effective and persuasive presentations on complex topics to employees, clients, top management and/or public groups.
Ability to motivate and negotiate effectively with key employees, top management, and client groups to take desired action.
Requires in-depth knowledge of financial terms and principles.
Ability to calculate complex figures. Ability to forecast and prepare budgets.
Conducts financial/business analysis including the preparation of reports.
Ability to solve advanced problems and deal with a variety of options in complex situations.
Requires expert level analytical and quantitative skills with proven experience in developing strategic solutions for a growing matrix-based multi-industry sales environment.
Draws upon the analysis of others and makes recommendations that have a direct impact on the company.
OTHER SKILLS and/or ABILITIES Strong background in developing and maintaining good client relationships.
Recognized as an industry expert and track record of operating at an elite production level.
Knowledge of hotel operations and investments.
Some travel required (US) as is customary in the normal course of business for conducting Advisory assignments
