Commercial & Residential Real Estate Appraisal Reviewer
Velocity Commercial Capital, LLC is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Velocity Financial, Inc., an NYSE-listed public company. Velocity Commercial Capital is a real estate finance company founded in 2004 that primarily originates and manages investor loans secured by 1—4-unit residential rental and small commercial properties. Velocity Commercial Capital is seeking to hire a full-time reliable Real Estate Analyst who will be accountable for various functions within our portfolio management team.
Analyze & verify residential and commercial appraisal reports, BPOs, AVMs & CMAs to determine if the cited value is reasonable
Analyze provided or develop an estimated cost to cure on damaged properties
Use various data sources to research or verify data reported for subject properties
Use various data sources to research and verify market data and trends
Analyze cash flow projections for commercial real estate
Communicate with external vendors and internal personnel to clarify property and valuation issues, and resolve errors or discrepancies
Participates in special projects and performs additional duties as necessary
Other duties as assigned
Experience (minimum three years) in valuation/review of commercial real estate as an appraiser, analyst, reviewer, or similar position.
Experience (minimum three years) in valuation/review of residential 1—4-units as an appraiser, analyst, reviewer or similar position.
Certified General appraiser license may be necessary, depending on experience.
Extensive knowledge of valuation guidelines.
Proven experience in verbal/written communication; customer service; analytical analyses; organizational and time-management skills.
Proven experience and skill in in Word, Excel and Outlook.
Experience with software used to track assignments and/or originate loans.
Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Telecommuting is allowed.
