Burch Appraisal Group has an immediate opening for a Certified General Real Estate Appraiser in the Knoxville area in a remote-work capacity. We are a small, locally-owned firm providing valuation services in the Middle to East Tennessee regions, with the majority of work concentrated within a 120-mile radius of Knoxville.
Bachelor’s degree is required; a degree in finance, accounting, business, or related field is preferred but not required if applicant has a proficient understanding of financial and real estate terms, concepts, and equations.
State Certified General Appraiser License and three years of commercial property valuation is preferred.
Registered trainees will be considered for the position should they meet the following requirements:
Completed and passed most qualifying education courses for licensing.
Have a minimum of two years of commercial property valuation experience.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook is required.
Ability to work remotely with minimal supervision is required.
Availability to work during normal business hours is required, but it is assumed that professional candidates meeting all other requirements can manage their own work schedules.
Burch Appraisal Group has developed a very efficient appraisal process utilizing a highly customized narrative appraisal software along with cloud-based technology for appraisal order management and report writing. Management has good working relationships with a large number of local banks and other clients, enabling staff appraisers of Burch Appraisal Group to work efficiently with our unique system, unencumbered by managerial issues or the frequent meetings and other requirements of large appraisal firms.
